Thinking (purely) logically, technology and creativity can never be friends. One is physical but too broad, and the other is abstract. Also, they can’t think.
But, if we’re talking about bonds between the two, they are, put simply, made for each other!
Technology allows us to channel our creativity and make it a reality. Consider how they make things simpler for us and how they open up new opportunities when combined!
First off, think about how technology makes being creative so simple. Can’t think of any ideas? Search for some inspiration!
Don’t forget the ability to ‘undo’. Instead of having to start all over again if you make a mistake when you’re creating a 2D or 3D masterpiece, or even a simple writing piece like this, you can simply go back a step. Or several! This can take a painfully large chunk of time off of projects, allowing you to refine many of the smaller, less important-but-still-significant details in tighter time limits. This is made even simpler with the technology itself, leading to my next statement…
Technology and creativity provide many new opportunities for us when used in conjunction. For starters, technology has provided us the ability to edit our photos and images, as well as take and create them. That’s not even mentioning that without even simple technology like a paintbrush, we would not even be able to create art in the first place.
Technology is a must if we wish to channel our creative juices. Whether it is business, journalism or music recording, technology has provided us with amazing ways to gather inspiration and get it onto paper. As you can clearly see, technology and creativity are pretty much forced together like… well, technology and creativity!
If you aren’t satisfied with that answer, then they’re like Dihydrogen Monoxide. That’s H2O (water), in case you didn’t know. This is still probably not an equal comparison, but if you know how the chemicals compound, it becomes a lot easier to understand. They cannot be separated. There is no better way to describe how technology has allowed us to channel our creativity.
Technology has allowed us to do many, many complex things such as video game development and photography with barely a hitch. Without technology, we would not have even nearly as many tools at our disposals to be creative.
There is no doubt whatsoever that technology and creativity can be, and are, friends. Hopefully good ones. Best friends, if we’re lucky.
